The 2021 Annual Meeting for St. Olaf Lutheran Church will be held on
October 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM
in the Fellowship Hall. Please plan to attend.
AFGHANISTAN REFUGEES
With our church council’s support it has been proposed that St Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge become a welcoming place for refugees from Afghanistan. The structure of that “welcoming place” would encompass establishing a committee to support areas such as:
1. Communication with federal, state, and local organizations
2. Housing/food/clothing
3. Healthcare/appointments
4. Cultural orientation
5. Language/ESL/schooling
6. Jobs & Legal services
7. Communication with other refugees 8. Transportation
ORGAN CONCERT OCTOBER 19, 2021 AT ST. OLAF
Dr. Skye Hart, DMA Director of Music and Liturgy St. Maria Goretti Parish, Scottsdale, Arizona, Director of Newman Schola and Organist All Saints Catholic Newman Center, Arizona State University and AGO West Regional Councilor will perform on Tuesday evening, October 19th at 7:00 PM in the church sanctuary. This concert is free and open to the public, please invite your friends. The concert is sponsored by the St. Olaf Lutheran Church Foundation in commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the Dobson Pipe Organ Builders, Lake City, Iowa rebuild of the St. Olaf Organ.

The Oles next meeting is Tuesday, October 5th at 9:00 am in the Fellowship Hall.

ST OLAF CHOIR
The St. Olaf Choir will practice at 7:30 am in the Choir room on Sunday, October 3rd, then sing at the 9 am service.
REVELATION BIBLE STUDY MONDAYS AT 10AM
The adult Bible study group will meet on Monday, October 4th, at 10am in the Fellowship Hall. We will continue our Revelation Bible study by discussing Revelation 19. CHILDREN’S MINISTRY PROGRAMS
Our children’s ministry programs are back up and running!
Sunday School—Sunday mornings @ 10:00-10:45am Ignite—Wednesday evenings @ 5:50-7:20pm

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR CHLDREN’S MINISTRY
We need 5 more people to volunteer for our Sunday School and Ignite programs! We need leaders for all age groups for Sunday School and leaders for 2nd-4th grade and 5th-6th grade for Ignite. YOUTH RECHARGE RETREATS
Youth from 4th-12th grade are welcome to attend fall recharge retreats at Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible. To register you must fill out a registration form and pay a $25 deposit that will be refunded after your student attends the retreat. Registration deadline for 4th-6th grade students is October 6th.
