We are finishing our study through the book of Daniel. On February 1, we will discuss Revelation 1. Please wear a mask and sanitize your hands when you arrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 <strong>LENTEN Adult Education Opportunity<br \/>ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING\u00a0<\/strong>Do you know people in our church who struggle with anxiety? Perhaps you have\u00a0even had a difficult time yourself in overcoming certain fears. Have you ever wondered if it\u2019s really possible to\u00a0be &#8220;<em>anxious for nothing<\/em>,&#8221; as the apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:4\u20138? Together we will explore Paul&#8217;s words and see they really do provide a treatment plan from God on how to live without worries. While anxiety is<br \/>a\u00a0<em>part\u00a0<\/em>of life, it doesn&#8217;t have to\u00a0<em>dominate\u00a0<\/em>life. With God as your helper and his promises at your side, you and your church can discover a life of calm and develop tools for combating the onslaught of anxiety. This is a 5 week study written by Max Lucado &amp; our Wednesday Evening Sermon Series will reflect these themes. This class will be offered on\u00a0<strong>Wednesdays beginning Feb 17-March 24<\/strong> (no class 3\/17 due to spring break).\u00a0<strong>Wednesdays at 11:00am on Zoom and Wednesday evenings in person at 6p.m.\u00a0<\/strong>You will need the book &amp; study guide. Suggested offering is $15.\u00a0<strong>Please call the office to register by Feb 10\u00a0<\/strong>so the items can be ordered in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">YOUTH EVENTS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PRESIDENT\u2019S DAY\u00a0YOUTH TUBING TRIP<\/strong><br \/>5th-12th\u00a0grade students are invited to come on a joint youth tubing trip with First United Methodist Church to Seven Oaks Recreation in Boone, Iowa on Monday, February 15th\u00a0from 1-5pm. Cost is $10\/student and you are more than welcome to invite a friend to come along. Transportation will be available and we are looking for two more volunteer drivers.
